Songwriting/Arranging

Songwriting /Arranging

My goal here is to realize your artistic vision and capture the essence of your message in music.  It can be a song, jingle or just an instrumental background, the format is completely up to you.

Songwriting is a really delicate process so to make sure everything goes smoothly it’s best to come at a project with as many details worked out as possible.

Here are some questions that I’d like you to have the answers for before we start:
How should the song feel? What’s the right genre, the tempo? What’s the story behind the song?
Same goes for arranging.
What instruments should be in it? What’s the best structure for the song? What harmonies should be used and where?

If you have the answers fill out the form below and I’ll give you a custom quote for your project.
This service comes with a ”Demo Mix” with the guide drums, individual multitracks and an optional track of
vocal melody and ad-libs.

Terms of Service

You might wonder what it’s like to work with me? What you can expect? And what do I expect from you?
These Terms of Service explain it all in a concise and simple manner. Please read carefully before you decide to start working with me.

Beginning
After submitting your project details through a form on a website you’ll receive a price quote for the project (usually in 1-2 business days).
Afterwards the conversation will continue via email unless we decide on a different communication method. Most clients preffer Whatsapp, Messenger or Signal.
All of my services are considered work-for-hire and shall be treated as such.
I usually shoot for a turnaround of max 7 days. It can be shorter and many times it is…if I’m drowning in work and know there’s no way I’m gonna make it in 7 days I’ll let you know upfront.

Preparation
Before I can start working on your project I need you to be prepared for it accordingly. Here’s what that means:

  • a) The songs should be thought through all the way from the very beginning to the end to as much detail as possible. I’m always happy to experiment and try things out but if you don’t know where we’re going we cannot get there.
  • b) Always have a multiple examples of reference songs ready so I can listen to them and get a better idea of what are you trying to achieve
  • c) All the tracks you send me must be a FULL LENGHT MULTITRACKS!!! (from beginning of the song to the end) in a wav. or mp3. format, 44,1kHz/24-bit. Everything must be named in ENGLISH, with the BPM, instrument and version information. Like this: Rhythm GTR L (120)- Raw
  • d) When sending files for mixing ALL of them must be RAW- without any effects on them. You can send me files with FX too so I can use them as a reference but I always work with Raw tracks. That’s what’s the most important.
  • e) When sending guitars make sure you send me their DI tracks as well! I will always start by using your sound but in case we need to re-amp the guitars later, we can.
  • f) The easiest way for me to learn the part you want me to record is from an audio demo. If you don’t have that and want to use sheet music, tabs or MIDI it’s ok but it has to be written correctly with all the articulations already in there (like palm mutes, vibrato, dynamics, etc.) and appropriate for the instrument. The last thing I wanna do is to fix your transcription because we realize the part is actually supposed be different.

Payments
All orders shall be paid upfront. Minimum of 50% required ,100% of the amount preferred.
However in some cases it makes more sense for the project to be paid hourly instead of a fixed rate (lot of editing, audio repairs, etc.). For those situation my rate is $20/hour.
Easiest way to pay me is with PayPal, using my PayPal email address: [email protected]
I would also accept a bank transfer but that’s usually slower and more expensive for both sides.
If you decide for whatever reason you don’t want me to work on your project BEFORE I start working I’ll send you your money back. Otherwise there will be NO REFUNDS made after I begin working on a project.
I always try my best to fulfill your vision completely and I’m happy to go through multiple revisions of the song but if you’re still not satisfied with my work at the end you WON’T get your money back. I have to get paid for my work!

Revisions
With each order you automatically get 2 free revisions. If you order multiple songs each of them gets 2 free revisions.
However, those are valid only for the work I did! Repairs and edits of instruments I didn’t record doesn’t count amongst my revisions and have to be paid separately.
The same applies for any afterthoughts like changing the key of a song and thus rerecording everything, replacing original parts with new ones, etc.
Any extra revision costs $30. After each phase of the project is completed I’ll ask you for your notes and requests. If there are more of you working on a project only ONE person gathers all the ideas and can present them to me at that time. Notes & requests from anybody else and at any other time will not be taken into consideration.
You can ask for a revision up until TWO WEEKS after the completion of the project. Revisions after that time period shall be paid regardless if you took advantage of the two free revisions or not.

Customer Behavior
First of all you should know that I like to work fast, effectively and stay organized. That means I kinda expect you to do the same.
So, respond to my messages & emails in 48 hours MAX!
If you tell me you gonna do something, do it! Follow through on everything-or don’t promise me.
When you work with other people on this project hold them accountable for their promises so they don’t slow the project down!
If you know you wanna work with me on multiple songs know the songs are gonna be much cheaper when bought in bulk than if bought separate…like 20% CHEAPER!
Don’t assume things on my behalf. Stuff like: “It’s going to be alright once he puts a compressor on it and some reverb”. If it sounds bad now, it’s still going to sound bad when it’s done so always try to get the sound you want at the source.
Don’t expect me to come up with some great idea that will suddenly make the song great. I work with what’s in the demo so if it’s not in there you’re not getting it.
I can come up with ideas of how the song can be better and I’m happy to give you suggestions that will make the song really rock, but think about it as a nice bonus not my obligation.
I’m happy to give you any advice about the things I know a lot about. So feel free to ask me about anything. But please understand I’m not a music school and I’m not selling any courses here either so I can’t tell you about why I do what I do to a great detail. I can give you the information where to go look for the answers though.
You agree to the fact that I can put the music we worked together on my website as an example of my work after it’s officially released to the public.
I WILL NEVER SHARE YOUR MUSIC IN ANY OTHER WAY AND ALL OF THE SONG RIGHTS BELONG TO YOU!

If you fail to continuously follow the things I outlined in these Terms of Service I have a right to abandon the project and give you No Refund.  I’ll send you all the files with the work done as it was at the time of the ToS violation.
